The Department of Youth Ministry for the Catholic Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee is committed to all aspects of the church’s ministry to its young people. Our purpose is to provide direct and indirect services that enable parish communities, our Catholic schools and other groups to respond to the specific needs of young people. We endorse the comprehensive youth ministry concept as defined in Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The three goals of ministry with adolescents are:
1. To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
2. To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community.
3. To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
